Winter Guard
Winter Guard is a captivating fusion of dance, precision, and artistry, where performers bring stories to life through choreographed movement, vibrant flags, rifles, and sabres. Unlike traditional marching arts, winter guard takes place indoors, transforming gymnasiums and arenas into stages of pure spectacle. In these performances, the performers seamlessly blend elements of modern dance and athleticism, expressing themes and emotions that captivate audiences. Each winter guard routine is a journey—an exploration of music, color, and movement that pushes the boundaries of self-expression and teamwork. Our Winter Guard Circuit unites talented color guards from across Alberta, providing a platform for these young artists to shine, grow, and inspire both themselves and the community around them

Encorps Winter Guard
World Class
We are one of Canada’s last High School Bands, based here in Calgary, AB, Canada. Our program has been in operation since 1986 and has grown to include 110 members made up of Brass, Woodwind, Percussion and Colour Guard. In addition we also have a Concert Band, Jazz Band, Winterguard and Percussion Ensembles. -
CGCYEG Ambassadors
The Ambassadors consist of youth ages 12 - 17 (Junior High & High School) Experience in dance or guard is definitely an asset but not at all required. Classes run Mondays & Wednesdays from 6:15-9PM. There are 2 weekend camps (Oct & Jan) and some Sunday rehearsals throughout the season.

Dynamic recruits the best and brightest performers from all areas of Calgary in order to develop a world class show. Dynamic exists to offer young people a quality educational and performance experience in turn, developing members into culturally enriched, caring, motivated, responsible and goal-oriented adults. These lessons are learned through an activity in which there is a blending of arts and athletics known as winterguard.
